Pakistan has marked its participation in the prestigious ChinaCoat Industrial Exhibition, held in Guangzhou, China’s largest commercial hub. The exhibition focuses on strengthening trade ties in the dyes sector. During the event, Chinese businessmen expressed a strong desire to promote bilateral trade with Pakistan and enhance relations with Pakistani entrepreneurs. This sentiment was conveyed during a one-on-one meeting between Arif Balgamwala, a prominent businessman and former chairman of the Pakistan Chemicals & Dyes Merchants Association (PCDMA), and Adrian Ho, the ChinaCoat Industrial Exhibition General Manager.

Adrian Ho noted that trade between China and Pakistan in the dyes sector is currently below its full potential and can be significantly increased through cooperation. He stated, “We are eager to support Pakistani businessmen and foster stronger trade relations in the dyes sector. We will provide all possible facilities to Pakistani counterparts wishing to participate in the ChinaCoat exhibition and assist in visa facilitation.”

Arif Balgamwala emphasized the importance of the exhibition, describing it as a key event where renowned companies worldwide have set up stalls. He highlighted the valuable opportunity to network with traders in the dyes industry and engage in business-to-business meetings.

Balgamwala suggested that Pakistani businessmen be invited to the exhibition next year as part of a delegation. This would allow them to explore the raw materials available from companies worldwide, including those from China’s vast market. In response, Adrian Ho assured Balgamwala that the Pakistani delegation would receive full support at every process stage.

After the meeting, Balgamwala presented Adrian Ho with the annual PCDMA journal as a gesture of goodwill and continued collaboration. This collaboration underscores the growing ties between the two nations in the chemicals and dyes sector. It is seen as a step forward in bolstering economic relations between Pakistan and China, focusing on enhancing the dyes industry’s trade potential.
