Standard Chartered Pakistan recently held a legal awareness session with the Legal Aid Society (LAS) focused on women’s rights and access to justice. The event engaged staff across the Bank, including support and contractual employees, emphasizing the importance of empowering women with knowledge about their legal rights.

Participants learned about key issues such as inheritance rights, the Nikahnama, and laws related to cyber safety and gender-based violence. They were also introduced to support resources like the Sindh Legal Advisory Call Center and NAZ Assist, a free legal advisory chatbot.

Key speakers included Barrister Haya Emaan Zahid and Advocate Farah Khan from LAS, who discussed legal empowerment and the importance of raising awareness. Yasir Khwaja, Head of Human Resources, emphasized the Bank’s commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace through knowledge-sharing.
