Spending tax money on public welfare schemes is real democracy – State Minister For Communications Murad Saeed

State Minister for Communications Mr. Murad Saeed has said, following the vision of Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, money obtained from auction of vehicles will be spent on public welfare schemes. In first phase, 76 vehicles of NHA are put on auction. Prime Minister has fulfilled his commitment for termination of protocol culture. He was talking to media men on occasion of auction of vehicles of National Highway Authority, here today. The senior officers from Ministry of Communications and National Highway Authority were also present.

Mr. Murad Saeed, pragmatic steps are underway to eliminate corruption in the country and the corrupt practices will be uprooted in Ministry of Communications and its attached department on every level. The individuals involved in money laundering will have to face accountability.

He further said, Prime Minister Imran Khan is drawing attention towards solving the public issues and the plan for construction of 50 lac homes is a step forward towards public welfare schemes. He hoped that duration of hard time would soon come to an end. Spending of public money on public is real democracy, he added.

National Highway Authority has also scheduled auction of vehicles in its offices at Abbottabad, Lahore, Multan, Sukkur, Karachi, Quetta and Gilgit. NHA vehicles at Peshawar will be auctioned on October 17, 2018 (Wednesday).
