The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) is offering a 70% matching grant under the SME Certification & International Accreditation Grant Programme to help SMEs obtain globally recognised certifications.
SMEs need to cover 30% of the certification costs, which can reach Rs800,000, with additional consultancy costs of up to Rs200,000. This initiative aims to enhance the competitiveness and export potential of SMEs, supporting over 100 businesses in the current fiscal year.
The selection process is merit-based and designed to encourage participation from start-ups, women-led enterprises, and businesses in underserved areas. Interested entrepreneurs can apply through the SMEDA website or the SME Registration Portal, both of which offer free registration. The program emphasizes compliance with national and international standards to boost efficiency and promote sustainable economic development.
