According to Bahria Maritime Services (Pvt) Ltd, the shipping agents of barge Heng Tong 77 in Pakistan, the ground preparation and mobilization of heavy machinery to pull the vessel from the sand of Seaview beach in Karachi would start from tomorrow.

The ship and crew are safe.

The refloating attempt of the vessel is likely to be done on Aug 15, when high tide is expected. Seamax Marine Group would lead the rescue operation with local expertise.

During this period, the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and local authorities would remain alert and safeguarded the vessel.
