Sindh Industries Minister vows support for Karachi’s industrial sector

Sindh Industries Minister Jam Ikramullah Khan Dharejo has pledged government support for Karachi’s industrial community, recognizing the private sector’s crucial role in times of crisis. At a gathering hosted by the S.I.T.E. Association, he expressed gratitude for assistance following significant incidents such as the Gul Plaza fires, which severely impacted local businesses.

He emphasized the need for private-sector involvement in infrastructure funding, with fresh funds contingent on the use of existing disbursements.

Patron-in-Chief Zubair Motiwala called for collaboration with the government to enhance operations, exports, and industrial productivity, advocating for the professional management of S.I.T.E. Limited. SAI Patron Saleem Parekh emphasized the importance of regular meetings to address infrastructure needs in industrial zones.

The event concluded with tributes to the armed forces, recognition of the late Siraj Kassam Teli’s contributions to the business community, and the presentation of shields to representatives of industrial associations and civic agencies.
