A high-level US business delegation visited Karachi Port Trust (KPT) Head Office, where Chairman KPT, Rear Admiral Shahid Ahmed SI(M), S.Bt (Retd), briefed the delegation on Karachi Port’s record performance, modernisation and investment opportunities.

CEO PNSC, Syed Jerar Haider Kazmi, and Director General Marine Fisheries Department, Dr Mansoor Ali Wassan, also attended.

The delegation showed keen interest in the 140-acre Maritime Business District, smart port and blue economy projects, and proposed developing it as an IT hub. They also explored opportunities to enhance Pakistan’s mango exports to the US through a dedicated processing facility, besides reviewing investment prospects in PNSC and the fisheries sector.
