Renowned businesswoman Ms Shabnam Zafar has been elected unopposed as President of the Khairpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, while Muhammad Adil and Raja Daryano Mal were also elected unopposed as Senior Vice President and Vice President, respectively. The other newly elected members of the Executive Committee include Pradeep Kumar, Gurnomal, Waqar Ahmed, Syed Sajid Jamal, Saeed Ahmed, Sohail Ahmed, Abdul Sami Memon, Riaz Ahmed Memon and Faraz Memon. Ms Samina Sheikh and Ms Hazel Hanif were elected to the two seats reserved for women entrepreneurs.

Newly elected President Shabnam Zafar emphasized that strengthening the national economy depends on promoting business activities, industrial production, and exports. She prioritized addressing the challenges faced by the Khairpur business community and creating a supportive environment.

Zafar acknowledged Khairpur’s role in agricultural production, especially date exports, and stressed the need for modern packaging and international marketing. She committed to advocating for local businessmen and enhancing their access to markets, banking services, and technology.
