In a prestigious collaboration with Mansha Brothers, Schneider Electric hosted an exclusive event in a local hotel in Karachi on December 5. The event, reserved for industry leaders, potential clients, and stakeholders in the digital infrastructure sector, showcased cutting-edge data centre technologies designed to meet Pakistan’s growing demand for digital infrastructure.
Mr Humayun Akhlaq, Country President of Schneider Electric Pakistan; Rabih El Gemayel, Senior Data Center Solutions Architect for the Middle East and Africa; and Ahmad Al Roz, Prefabricated Solution Sales Manager, addressed industry leaders regarding the launch of a prefabricated data centre in the country.
The company has already supplied a data centre to a prominent local oil and gas company. It eagerly looks forward to working with potential clients such as banks, airlines, the oil and gas sector, and telecom operators to provide data storage facilities that cater to the pressing demands for substantial data storage in modern and secure environments.
Rabih El Gemayel and Ahmad Al Roz elaborated on the technical features of their products. A company statement highlights that the rising middle class is driving increased adoption of digital services, backed by government initiatives promoting economic growth, digitalisation, and entrepreneurship. This creates a promising landscape for businesses and investors in the country.
The event also emphasised Schneider Electric’s innovative solutions, including modular and prefabricated data centres, hyper-scale architectures, and advanced cooling and power management systems. These are designed to support Pakistan’s rapid digital transformation and address the evolving needs of its thriving economy.
As the world becomes increasingly digital, the demands on data centres grow. Schneider Electric provided a platform to inform attendees about the latest data centre solutions and critical power infrastructure innovations. The expert team highlighted how artificial intelligence (AI) revolutionises data centre operations, from predictive maintenance to energy optimisation. They discussed the latest strategies and technologies for creating greener, more efficient data centres. They explored trends shaping the future of large-scale data centres, including the design and implementation of resilient solutions to safeguard critical operations.
The cost of the smallest prefabricated data centre unit housed in a container is expected to exceed $300,000, with a delivery time of over thirty-five weeks.
Finally, Mr. Humayun Akhlaq welcomed all the guests and praised the Mansha Brothers team for organising the most informative event. He shared insights about the company’s efforts to modernise electrical development in Pakistan. He described Pakistan as becoming the most developed country and showing resilience to move forward. He noted that Schneider Electric, a trusted leader in the industry, holds a 70% market share in Pakistan, with support offices in remote areas, providing a sense of security and confidence to the audience.
