SBP unveils Pakistan’s Financial Inclusion Index Results for CY25

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) today released the results of the Pakistan Financial Inclusion Index (P-FII) for the year 2025. The index, a comprehensive metric for measuring the extent of financial inclusion in the country, stood at 59.5, up from 58.1 in 2024.

The index’s positive trajectory was largely driven by strong growth in the Usage sub-index, followed by the Access and Quality sub-indices, reflecting successful implementation of the digital initiatives under the National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS) 2024–28. Notable drivers include RAAST merchant onboarding and the payment ecosystem, the introduction of digital banks, and account opening drives. These advancements were further reinforced by strong consumer orientation and financial literacy.
