Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Industries & Production Haroon Akhtar Khan reviewed arrangements for ‘Made in Pakistan – SME Cluster Showcase 2026’, which is scheduled to be held from January 24 to 26 at the Expo Centre, Lahore.
At a Zoom meeting with the team from the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) that is organising the event, he stressed that all possible efforts should be made to ensure it is a successful event.
He reiterated that the cluster showcase aims to strengthen the country’s micro, small and medium enterprise ecosystem, expand market access and position SME clusters as a competitive pillar of the national economy in line with the SME development vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He instructed SMEDA to ensure that SME clusters, especially those from AJK, Gilgit Baltistan, South Punjab, and Balochistan, are given due visibility and facilitation.
Earlier, the CEO of SMEDA, Nadia Jahangir Seth, gave a detailed presentation to SAPM and assured him that the organisation would showcase the full potential and promise of Pakistan’s clusters at the event. The SAPM was informed that HBL, Bank Al Habib, and Pak Suzuki Motors have partnered as Platinum Sponsors, while the Bank of Punjab is cooperating as a Gold Sponsor, reflecting the commitment of these organisations to contribute to the growth of the SME sector in the country.
