Recently, industrialists from the SITE area gathered to honour Lt. Col. Shahzada Gulfraz Shaheed, who sacrificed his life fighting the Indian proxy group, Khwarij, in Bannu District. The industrial community expressed confidence that the sacrifices of martyrs like him will not be in vain. The condolence meeting at the SITE Association of Industry was attended by prominent figures, including Wing Commander 63-Wing Rangers, Lt. Col. Haroon Sarfraz, and SITE Association leaders.
Zubair Motiwala, Patron-in-Chief, proposed establishing a special fund for the families of martyrs, emphasising the need for support from the business community. Abdul Rehman Fudda, SITE Association President, praised Lt. Col. Shahzada for his exceptional service as Wing Commander of 92-Wing Rangers.
He noted that defending Pakistan involves economic contributions from industrialists. Lt. Col. Haroon Sarfraz acknowledged the business community’s respect for the Armed Forces and shared that Lt. Col. Shahzada set high security standards in the SITE area. Abdul Hadi, Chairman of the Law and Order Committee, highlighted the late officer’s decisive actions, recalling how he swiftly resolved an extortion case. He prayed for Allah to uphold the spirit of sacrifice in Pakistan’s armed forces.
