Qist Bazaar has completed five years of operations, emerging as one of Pakistan’s leading Shariah-compliant installment financing platforms with more than 100 branches across 18 cities.
Since its 2021 launch, the company has financed over PKR 15 billion in essential products, including smartphones, appliances, motorcycles, and solar solutions, while processing more than one million applications nationwide. Backed by Bank Alfalah and leading venture capital firms, Qist Bazaar says it has remained profitable since inception.
By focusing on necessities rather than discretionary spending, the company has kept bad debt below 4%, showing that financial inclusion can coexist with commercial sustainability.
Building on its branch network, Qist Bazaar is now expanding its point-of-sale partnerships with retailers, initially offering financing for smartphones and laptops directly at participating outlets.
Arif Lakhani, Co-Founder of Qist Bazaar, said the company’s community-based model and focus on essential goods have helped build trust and maintain strong repayment performance, proving that “financial inclusion and commercial discipline can go hand in hand.”
