The Director of the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA), Engineer Ali Bux Soomro, visited the Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association (PVMA) to discuss challenges in the ghee and cooking oil industry.

PVMA Chairman Sheikh Umer Rehan highlighted the sector’s significance to the national economy and employment. He called for a review of the marking fee and proposed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PSQCA to enforce quality standards.

Both leaders emphasized the importance of collaboration between industry and regulatory bodies to ensure food safety and strengthen consumer trust.
