PQA has signed an MoU with Alkhidmat Karachi for employees’ medical facilities.

The agreement was signed during a ceremony at the office of the Port Qasim Authority in the presence of Alkhidmat’s Executive Director Rashid Qureshi, Secretary Port Qasim Authority Tipu Sultan Sheikh, Senior Superintendent Alkhidmat Fareeda Yaqoob Hospital Dr Zafar Iqbal and other officials. Under the MoU, employees of the Port Qasim Authority and their families will be able to avail of medical facilities such as OPD, Diagnostics and Pharmacies at Alkhidmat’s health institutions.

Speaking on occasion, Rashid Qureshi said the Alkhidmat is providing advanced health facilities to common people at affordable rates without any discrimination of caste or creed to help them get the best treatment during these difficult days of high inflation.

The agreement with the Port Qasim Authority shows that the Alkhidmat is considered one of the best health institutions.

Acknowledging the Alkhidmat’s welfare services all over the country, Tipu Sultan Sheikh hoped that the Authority’s employees would enjoy these health facilities with the same spirit of service expected from the Alkhidmat.

He said the PQA was always looking at ways to improve the working conditions for its employees, and this MoU with the Alkhidmat was an example of the same.

After the signatures of Mr. Rashid Qureshi, Executive Director of Al-Khidmat Karachi and Mr Tipu Sultan Sheikh, Secretary of Port Qasim Authority, now all the employees of Port Qasim Authority and their dependents will be able to get benefits for treatment and diagnostic test x-ray etc. from the hospitals, health centres, medical centres, hospitals and laboratory collection centres being managed by Alkhidmat Karachi.

Earlier, the employees of Port Qasim Authority used to avail of the health facilities only from Al-Khidmat Fareeda Yaqoob Hospital Gulshan Hadeed. Due to the wide scope of the new agreement, the employees residing across the city will get relief.

In addition to OPD, admission facilities will also be available in the following hospitals of Al Khidmat Karachi.

1. Al Khidmat Fareeda Yaqoob Hospital (AKFYH) Gulshan Hadid

2. Al Khidmat Hospital Nazimabad

3. Al Khidmat Hospital Korangi

The MoU signing ceremony was also attended by the Port Qasim Authority and other officials of Al Khidmat.

Secretary Port Qasim Authority expressed hope that Al-Khidmat can provide public health facilities for employees with its traditional and well-recognized quality and the human spirit. Mr. Rashid Qureshi said that there is a continuous effort to expand and improve the services of public health centres of Al-Khidmat. We strive for continuous improvement and effective use of modern means and resources.
