Patel Hospital organized an Awareness Walk and an informative session on World Cancer Day to raise public awareness about cancer and emphasize the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. Many healthcare professionals and members of the public attended the awareness session. On this occasion, Dr Mehwish Sheikh, Consultant Medical Oncologist, shared valuable insights on early detection, treatment, and cancer screening. She stressed that timely diagnosis significantly increases the chances of successful treatment.
The Deputy Medical Director of Patel Hospital, Dr. Imran highlighted that lack of awareness about cancer often prevents patients from seeking timely treatment. He emphasized that awareness is the key to encouraging early diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, Farhan Asadi, Director of Communications & Resource Development, stated that the primary objective of this awareness walk was to educate the public about the dangers of cancer and the importance of prevention.
