Pakistan’s reserves decreased by US$ 356 million

The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$ 19,015.5 million on 09-October-2020.The break-up of the foreign reserves position is as under:-

  1. Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: US$ 11,798.4 million
  2. Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks : US$ 7,217.1 million
  3. Total liquid foreign reserves             : US$ 19,015.5 million

During the week ended 09-October-2020, SBP made external debt repayment of US$ 507 million. After accounting for inflows, SBP reserves decreased by US$ 356 million to US$ 11,798.4 million.
