Pakistan’s liquid foreign reserves increased by $141 million

As of January 2, 2026, Pakistan’s total liquid foreign reserves totaled USD 21,192.4 million. The breakdown of the foreign reserves is as follows:

i) Foreign reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan: USD 16,055.7 million

ii) Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks: USD 5,136.7 million

iii) Total liquid foreign reserves: USD 21,192.4 million

During the week ending January 2, 2026, the State Bank of Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves increased by USD 141 million, bringing the total to USD 16,055.7 million.
