The Chairman of National Business Group Pakistan, the President of the Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum, the President of All Karachi Industrial Alliance, the Chairman of the FPCCI Advisory Board, and the President and former provincial minister, Mian Zahid Hussain stated on Friday that the leadership of the Pakistan Army is in sincere and capable hands, ensuring that terrorism will not flourish in the country under any circumstances.
He stated that the hope of improving the situation by adopting a softer approach to terrorists in the past has proven to be incorrect.
Mian Zahid Hussain stated that linking the establishment of the Taliban government to the end of terrorism in Pakistan was a significant miscalculation.
Talking to the business community, the veteran business leader said that terrorism has increased instead of ending, for which Pakistan is paying a heavy price.
The business leader said that a handful of terrorists cannot shake the resolve of Army Chief Syed Asim Munir and his team, nor can they decide the fate of the country, and that now the people’s tolerance has reached its limit.
Mian Zahid Hussain said that in his address to overseas Pakistanis, Army Chief Syed Asim Munir made it clear to the terrorists and their supporters that as long as the brave people of Pakistan stand with the army, it can face any challenge.
He said that whoever stands in the way of Pakistan’s development will be dealt with the help of the people.
Mian Zahid Hussain said that the Army Chief has rightly said that even ten generations of terrorists together cannot harm this country. The Army Chief is determined to uproot the scourge of terrorism and make Pakistan a peaceful and developed country in which the entire nation is with him.
He noted that General Syed Asim Munir called Balochistan Pakistan’s destiny and pride while termed Kashmir as Pakistan’s jugular vein without any hesitation.
Mian Zahid Hussain stated that the Army Chief and the government are working to improve the country’s economy, in addition to addressing internal and external threats. This has led international organisations to regain confidence in Pakistan and improve its global ranking.
The increase in Pakistan’s rating by the international credit rating agency Fitch is clear evidence of the government’s current efforts’ success. He said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his team are rapidly improving the country’s economy, and it will not be long before its economic recovery and development are thoroughly prosperous.
At a time when the government is pursuing an agenda of economic recovery and development, is active in the sectors of agriculture, industry and trade, information technology, and minerals, and is implementing trade agreements with various countries, some elements are trying to spread chaos in the country, which must be dealt with firmly, he demanded.
He reiterated that the business community stands firmly with its army and government.
