Pakistan’s foreign reserves edge higher

Pakistan’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves stood at US$ 26,797.4 million as of October 2, 2026, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

  • Reserves held by SBP: US$ 21,453.7 million
  • Reserves held by commercial banks: US$ 5,343.7 million
  • Total reserves: US$ 26,797.4 million

During the week ending October 2, SBP’s reserves rose modestly by US$ 15 million, bringing the central bank’s holdings to US$ 21,453.7 million.

This latest update reflects continued stability in Pakistan’s external position, with SBP maintaining the bulk of the country’s reserves.
