Zubair Tufail, President of the United Business Group, praised Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for bringing the United States and Iran to the negotiating table after a ceasefire, a significant achievement after over 40 years.

While the talks did not reach an agreement, both sides expressed a willingness to continue the dialogue, with Pakistan supporting another meeting. Tufail highlighted that neither country benefits from war and criticised President Trump’s statements as pressure tactics.

He affirmed Pakistan’s commitment to mediating and maintaining diplomatic efforts, noting the positive global acknowledgement of Pakistan’s role. Tufail concluded by praising Asim Munir for his leadership and contributions to the nation.
