Business leader and former President of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Dr. Shahid Rasheed Butt, stated on Wednesday that India faced humiliation in its cowardly attempt to attack Pakistan, and the world is witnessing Modi’s embarrassment.
He commended Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir for his intelligent and timely strategy, which kept Pakistan strong during a critical period and won the support of the people. According to Butt, General Munir united the nation and transformed it into a solid wall of resolve, while India was left disgraced.
Speaking at an emergency meeting with the business community, Butt remarked that India’s sudden act of aggression harmed efforts for peace and further complicated the region’s situation. However, Pakistan’s army, with its professionalism, preparedness, and strategy, not only thwarted the attack but also embarrassed India on the global stage.
He asserted that India, following its old pattern of stubbornness, tried to provoke Pakistan at the borders but was firmly pushed back. Pakistan’s armed forces responded with full strength, delivering a significant blow to India’s military ambitions.
Shahid Rasheed Butt emphasized General Asim Munir’s extraordinary leadership during this critical moment, stating that his response was not only defensive but also sent a strong, clear message to the enemy: Pakistan’s sovereignty is non-negotiable.
The Army Chief’s immediate and bold reply was a testament to the readiness and resolve of the armed forces. The coordinated response by Pakistan’s Army, Air Force, and Navy, supported by modern technology and top-tier training, forced Indian forces into retreat.
India’s failed adventure exposed its aggressive intentions to the world. Pakistan’s representative at the United Nations strongly condemned India’s reckless behavior, labeling it a threat to global peace. Pakistan’s strong diplomatic response also made a clear impact.
Shahid Rasheed Butt concluded by stating that India’s disgrace has proven that Pakistan is not only a responsible nuclear power but also a nation whose armed forces are fully capable of handling any challenge. Pakistan desires peace but will never compromise on its sovereignty or territorial integrity, he added.
He noted that under General Asim Munir’s leadership, Pakistan’s military repelled the enemy and instilled new energy and unity in the nation.
Shahid Rasheed Butt also appreciated the role of Pakistan’s friendly nations that stood by the country during this testing time. He noted that China, in particular, reaffirmed its strong strategic partnership with Pakistan by advocating for peace, stability, and respect for sovereignty in the region.
The Chinese government condemned aggression and emphasized the importance of resolving disputes through dialogue, a stance that resonated with Pakistan’s principled position. He added that Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and several Gulf nations also expressed solidarity with Pakistan and praised its mature handling of the crisis.
These nations recognized that Pakistan’s response was not only defensive but also essential to safeguard regional peace.
Butt stated that the global support Pakistan received demonstrates the strength of its diplomatic ties and its reputation as a responsible nuclear state. He stressed that this internal and external unity sends a clear message to any hostile force that Pakistan is not weak and alone.
