Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey Mr. Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi while interacting with the participants of the 109th National Management Course of the National School of Public Policy has said that the unparalleled and unique Pakistan-Turkey relations are deeply rooted in history, faith and common culture.
Led by Mr. Azmat Ali Ranjha, Rector of National School of Public Policy of Pakistan, the 11-member delegation is on a study tour of Turkey from 5 -9 November 2018 and comprises senior officers from both the federal and provincial governments as well as autonomous institutions, who are expected to assume leadership role in government departments.
Ambassador Syrus Qazi appraised the delegation on the status of multi-faceted Turkey-Pakistan bilateral relations and their steady growth in all domains, including political, economic, investment, defence, cultural and educational fields. He said both countries have unanimity of views on major regional and global issues and always support each other on important national issues. Although the volume of bilateral trade is not commensurate with the excellent political relations, Turkish investments in Pakistan are growing at a healthy pace. At the moment, these come to more than US$ 2.5 billion, he added.
As part of their study tour, the Pakistan delegation will visit various Turkish departments and institutions, and shall learn about local government, housing, water resource management, agriculture, health, disaster management, transportation, and development administration of Turkey.
