Pakistan single country exhibition to be held in Dubai

Single Country Exhibition of Pakistan to showcase Pakistani products is to be organized in UAE in the month of September under the umbrella of Pakistan Federation of Chamber of Commerce & Industry while a delegation of investors of UAE would also visit Pakistan under auspices of Pakistan Overseas Foundation so that trade and investment between the two countries can be further enhanced. This was stated by Waheed Ahmed, Vice President FPCCI and Patron-in-Chief of Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Association (PFVA) during a meeting with the Ambassador of Pakistan in UAE Moazzam Ahmed. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Farhan Member, Executive Council of Pakistan Overseas Foundation.

During the meeting the Ambassador of Pakistan informed that the proposal to hold single country exhibition of Pakistan in UAE is under consideration by the Govt. of Pakistan. He further said that UAE is a big market for Pakistani Fruits & Vegetable, Meat and Poultry products including other food stuff and these products can be re-exported via Dubai to other Gulf countries through land routes. The ban imposed on the poultry products of Pakistan by UAE has also been withdrawn which would provide further opportunities to enhance export from Pakistan, the Ambassador further disclosed.     

Waheed Ahmed, Vice President said that UAE is a big market for Pakistani Mango and Kinnow and FPCCI and PFVA jointly  in collaboration with Pakistani Embassy in UAE will launch an aggressive marketing in the hyper markets of UAE for the promotion of Pakistani mangos in the forthcoming season. He further said that Pakistan’s Single Country Exhibition in Dubai will provide ample opportunities to Pakistani exporters and manufacturers to access in the Gulf markets through Dubai. An investment conference will also be organized to attract the foreign investors in the potential sectors of Pakistan particularly with reference to CPEC, he added.

Dr. Farhan of Pakistan Overseas Foundation speaking on occasion said that a delegation comprising of Pakistani and U.A.E investors would also visit Pakistan so that opportunities of trade and investment available in Pakistan can be availed. The delegation of investors would also review opportunities generated as a result of CPEC projects.
