Pakistan has once again been elected to the Board of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD). According to details, the 41st General Assembly meeting of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development (ICCD) was held in Makkah during the Third Makkah Halal Forum. The forum took place from February 14 to 16, 2026, at the Makkah Chamber of Commerce Exhibition and Events Center under the patronage of Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Commerce, Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi. Previous editions of the forum attracted participants from 120 countries.
The President of the Chamber, Sheikh Abdullah Saleh Kamel, warmly welcomed all guests from approximately 40 countries. The Turkish delegation was the largest, led by President Rifat. Representing Pakistan, former FPCCI President and President of the United Business Group (UBG), Zubair Tufail, attended the meeting.
Zubair Tufail stated that during the 41st General Assembly meeting of the ICCD, financial reports were reviewed and approved. The meeting also included the conduct of board elections, ratification of the appointment of the ICCD President, a review of progress on resolutions approved during the 40th General Assembly, and consideration of applications from new associate members. Discussions were also held regarding the election of the new Board of Directors and matters related to the appointment of the Chamber’s President. Additionally, the international programs calendar of the ICCD for 2026 was reviewed.
He further informed that on the sidelines of the General Assembly, the 71st meeting of the ICCD Financial Committee, the 4th meeting of the Executive Committee, and a meeting of the Board of the Islamic Chamber Research and Information Center were also held in Makkah.
