Pakistan Press Foundation calls for applications for the PPF Media Safety Fellowships.

Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF) invites PPF Media Safety Fellowships applications. The fellowship program promotes freedom of expression by supporting media professionals to produce stories about media safety and impunity.

The fellowships will include the following:

An honorarium of up to sixty thousand rupees.

Participation in two capacity-building workshops.

Editorial and technical support.

Selected participants will work under the supervision of a senior journalist who will act as fellowship editor during the fellowship term. During the fellowship program, each fellow will be expected to produce six stories for publication or broadcast in national media organisations.

Preference will be given to fellows who will commit to investigating impunity for specific cases of journalists killed or injured.

Journalists with experience of at least three years and a commitment to promoting the safety of journalists are encouraged to apply.

The criteria for journalists from Balochistan, former FATA districts, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, and female journalists may be relaxed for otherwise qualified applicants.

Copy of the press card or employment letter

Resume/CV

Links or copies of at least three stories published or broadcast in the last twelve months.

The deadline for submitting applications is May 28, 2023. Applications received after the due date will not be entertained.
