In February 2026, Pakistan recorded monthly IT exports of $365 million, a 20% increase from the same month last year, though a slight 2% decrease from the previous month. This brings the total IT exports for the first eight months of FY26 to $2.98 billion, reflecting a 20% year-on-year growth, according to a report by Topline Pakistan Research. The net IT exports—calculated as exports minus imports—amounted to $320 million, an increase of 15% from the previous year.
While the government has set a target of $5 billion for IT exports in FY26, we anticipate IT exports will grow 18-20% over the year, reaching approximately $4.5 billion, up from $3.8 billion in FY25.
As part of the ‘Uraan Pakistan’ national economic plan, the government has also established an ambitious target of $10 billion in IT exports by FY29. This goal implies a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 27% until FY29.
