Pakistan Fertilizer Sector saw weak agronomics impact on offtake

Fertilizer sales in Pakistan have seen a significant decline. Here are the key highlights :
Urea Sales
– Year-over-year decline: Urea sales dropped by 54% in March 2025, reaching 308,000 tons.
– Company-wise performance:
– EFERT’s urea sales plummeted by 59% YoY to 60,000 tons.
– FFC’s urea offtake decreased by 26% YoY to 187,000 tons.
– FATIMA Group’s dispatches contracted by 53% YoY to 37,000 tons.

DAP Sales
– Year-over-year decline: DAP sales nosedived by 64% in March 2025, reaching 38,000 tons.
– Company-wise performance:
– FFC’s DAP sales contracted by 66% YoY to 27,000 tons.
– EFERT’s DAP sales dwindled by 62% YoY to 8,000 tons.
– FATIMA Group’s DAP offtake descended by 52% YoY to 1,000 tons.

Inventory Position
– Urea inventory: 734,000 tons in March 2025, up from 536,000 tons in February 2025.
– DAP inventory: 160,000 tons in March 2025.

These declines are attributed to weak agronomics and farmers’ lower purchasing power. The sales data is based on a report by AHL Research.
