Pakistan EV and Solar Expo draws attention to Electric Vehicles and Chargers

The Pakistan EV and Solar Expo debuted at the Karachi Expo Centre, showcasing electric vehicles and solar technology. Electric motorcycles and rickshaws attracted significant interest, alongside a notable demand for EV chargers.

Chairman of the Malik Group, Mr. Malik Khuda Bakhsh, announced plans to install 3,000 EV chargers across Pakistan within three years, driven by increasing local demand and government orders. He emphasized the importance of transitioning to electric vehicles to reduce fuel costs and dependency on imports.

Haris Khan, CEO of an electric rickshaw company, shared that their rickshaws would sell for around Rs1 million, could travel 120 kilometers on a single charge, and could be charged in four to five hours, with availability in Karachi within 30 days.
