Pakistan Automobile sales up by 32% YoY and 1% MoM

The automotive industry experienced a robust uptick in sales during October 2025, reaching 17,300 units, reflecting a 32% year-over-year and 1% month-over-month increase, according to PAMA. Cumulative sales for the first four months of FY26 soared by 46% YoY to 59,600 units, as reported by AHL Research.

The rise in sales has been attributed to lower interest rates and the availability of low-markup EMI loans, which have enhanced financing options for consumers. However, month-to-month growth faced challenges due to an 18% sales decline at Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC), following the discontinuation of several models, including Ravi and Wagon R.

Indus Motor Company (INDU) reported a significant 44% MoM increase, selling 4,529 units, mainly driven by a 58% increase in Fortuner and Hilux sales. PSMC’s total sales dropped to 7,403 units, with notable declines in models such as the Ravi and Swift.

Honda Atlas Cars (HCAR) saw a 13% MoM sales rise, bolstered by improvements in Civic/City volumes. In contrast, Sazgar Engineering (SAZEW) reported a 3% MoM decrease, with 1,379 units sold.

Two-wheeler sales grew by 3% MoM, with Atlas Honda achieving record monthly sales of 140,178 units. Three-wheeler sales surged by 39% MoM, despite a 26% decline for Sazgar’s sales in that segment.

Tractor sales showed remarkable growth, increasing by 265% MoM, largely due to a low base effect from previous poor farm economics. AGTL reported an impressive 418% MoM increase, while MTL saw a 223% rise in sales.

Overall, the automotive sector demonstrated resilience in October, driven by various market dynamics and financing options.
