Pakistan Automobile Assemblers sector sees 108% YoY rise in auto sales

  • In Apr’26, auto sales (Cars, LCVs, Vans, Jeeps and EVs) clocked in at 22.0K units, up 108% YoY, as per PAMA data. On a cumulative basis, 10MFY26 sales increased 49% YoY to 166.1K units. The growth was primarily driven by rebound in purchasing activity, continued momentum in auto financing, and strong underlying demand across key segments.
  • On a sequential basis, volumes increased 42% MoM to 22.0K units in Apr’26, largely reflecting the seasonal recovery following Ramadan-related softness in March. The uptick was broad-based across most categories. On a monthly basis, Pak Suzuki Motor Company posted the highest growth in overall sales, increasing by approximately 76% MoM to 11k units.
  • Indus Motor Company Ltd (INDU) recorded sales of 4,330 units in Apr’26, up 33% YoY and 12% MoM, taking 10MFY26 volumes to 37,643 units (+51% YoY). Corolla and Yaris sales rose 37% YoY to 3,451 units, while Fortuner and Hilux contributed 879 units, up 18% YoY.
  • Pak Suzuki Motor Company Ltd (PSMC) reported sales of 11,012 units, up 175% YoY and 76% MoM, with 10MFY26 volumes rising 42% YoY to 76,718 units, marking a strong post-Ramadan rebound across its variant lineup. Swift led the recovery with 2,205 units (+229% YoY), followed by Alto at 7,567 units (+232% YoY), Cultus at 489 units (+66% MoM) and Every at 751 units (+93% MoM).
  • Honda Atlas Cars (HCAR) posted sales of 2,716 units, up 59% YoY and 17% MoM, with cumulative 10MFY26 sales rising 58% YoY to 22,813 units. Civic/City sales rose 19% MoM to 2,432 units (+55% YoY), while Honda BRV/HRV contributed 284 units (114% YoY).
  • Sazgar Engineering (SAZEW) recorded four-wheeler sales of 2,225 units, up 305% YoY, reflecting continued traction in its Haval lineup with 2,208 units sold during the month (+310% YoY). Tank 500 was added with 16 units sold. 
  • In the two-wheeler segment, industry sales grew 41% YoY and 15% MoM to 187,724 units. Atlas Honda Ltd (ATLH) reported sales of 163,048 units, reflecting 41% YoY growth and a 14% MoM increase.
  • Three-wheeler sales declined 13% YoY to 2,616 units. Out of this, Sazgar Engineering reported 2,225 units in its three-wheeler segment, reflecting a 28% increase on a MoM basis.
  • In the tractor segment, industry sales increased 76% YoY but declined 6% MoM to 2,824 units. AGTL reported sales of 830 units, down 44% MoM and up 12% YoY, while MTL recorded 1,994 units, up 132% YoY.
