Pakistan attracts net FDI of $1.455 billion in 10MFY22

Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) dropped by 2.36 per cent in the first ten months (July-April) of the current fiscal year 2021-22 as multinational companies and foreign investors of various sectors have been cautious in investing in Pakistan because of the uncertainties posed by the global situation.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the country attracted FDI of $1.455 billion between July 2021 and April 2022 as compared to $1.480 billion in the same period last year.

However, the FDI had a net outflow of $23.80 million and an inflow of $194.4 in April 2022.
