“Pak-Sri Lanka Taluqat: Aik Jaiza” at the Arts Council

The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi organized a session named “Pak- Sri Lanka Taluqat: Aik Jaiza” in the Lobby Area of the council. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Hafiz M.Noman Tahir. On the Occasion general (R) M.Saad Khattak addressing the session said, I formed “Khushaal Khattak Trust” to serve my people, He added that Pakistan & Sri Lanka has a relationship of honor & dignity, Other than defense both countries need to focus on other fields too such as economical, Cultural, Social, Tourism &, etc.

Expressing his views on the occasion president arts council M.Ahmed Shah said that Mr. Khattak is a true soldier of Pakistan not only because he served in the army but the way he took the front after that is commendable. “We are a civilized and peaceful nation, our values are thousands of years old. We believe in live and let live but we know how to protect our existence. As a Pakistani I congratulate Mr.Khattak we all are grateful for the services he rendered”, Ahmed Shah added.

Speaking on the occasion senior journalist Mahmood Shaam said that Sri Lanka has always been a sensitive country for Pakistan there are many people who take up their official responsibilities as worship & put the interests of their beloved homeland first but the irony is that in our society they are considered as a misfit.

Chairman talk show committee Shakeel Khan said the arts council has been formed for the purpose of reviving cultural activities; I assure Mr. Khattak that if he would ever need our support for any cultural activities, we will be there.

Abdul Sattar Shaikh Said, The purpose of conducting this session was to aware people of services rendered by General (R) M.Saad Khattak in Sri Lanka over a period of two years and the evolutionary kind that no other ambassador has ever done before. He is an example for all of us, concluding the event Mr. Shaikh paid regards to M.Ahmed Shah for considering his suggestions & for organizing this event. The session was moderated by Mansoor Sahir. the Chamber on a monthly basis.
