Nishat Power Limited (NPL) is scheduled to announce its 2QFY23 financial result on Feb 13th, 2023. We expect the company to post a profit of PKR 699mn (EPS: PKR 1.97) during 2QFY23, depicting a decline of 6% YoY. Sales are expected to decrease by 65% YoY during 2QFY23 due to lower dispatches which are likely to be down by 89% YoY. This decline in dispatches is anticipated on the back of overall decline in electricity demand in the country due to economic slowdown. The overall country power generation also decreased by 8% YoY during 1HFY23 as FO-based generation went down by 47% YoY.
We do not expect any payout along with the result.
