NHA has approved the award for M-06

National Highway Authority’s Member Planning, Mr Asim Amin, held E-Kachehri at the head office of the Authority through NHA’s official Facebook Page today and answered the questions raised by people all over the country.

Mr Asim Amin said that National Highway Authority Executive Board and National Highway Council have approved the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway (M-6) project and that the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, has ordered the start the construction work on this project as soon as possible. This mega project will be completed in 30 months according to international standards, 15 interchanges, 01 major bridge over the Indus River, 19 overpass bridges, 82 bridges over canals, 6 flyovers, and 10 service areas will be constructed on this 306 km long motorway.

This motorway will cost more than 307 billion rupees. This motorway will pass through Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Matiari, Benazirabad, Nowshehro Feroze, Khairpur and Sukkur, which will bring about economic and social development there as well as new livelihood opportunities will be generated in these areas. Service and rest areas will also be provided on both sides of this motorway at a distance of every 50 km.

Answering the questions related to the Maintenance of roads, CPEC projects, collection of toll tax, and axle load, he said that the relevant Members of NHA will personally contact those who give better suggestions in the construction process and will get guidance from them. Mr Asim Amin also informed the callers that NHA is working on the timely completion of ongoing construction projects. He said highways are our national asset, and NHA is continuously making efforts to make travel on motorways and national highways safe and environment-friendly.
