In terms of leadership skills and team-building acumen, Pakistani students are well ahead than those studying in South Asia and Western countries and our enlightened youth can lead the world of science and research if they are provided with an adequate learning environment at the academic level. This was said by Hamza Siddiqui, Nazim, Islami Jamiat Talaba (IJT), Karachi, during a one-to-one meeting with Zahid Ahmed, Principal, Government Delhi College, Karachi.

Speaking on the occasion, IJT’s Nazim said Pakistani students, both male and female, are beyond compare to international students, including those of Indian origin, because here in Pakistan, one has to face immense hardship in pursuit of higher education, whereas the overall social environment is not that appropriate or conducive to meeting students’ learning needs.

Speaking on the occasion, Zahid Ahmed, Principal, Govt. Delhi College, Karachi, said promoting reading habit among students tends to be the prime responsibility of teachers and Delhi College has been leading the charge in providing the world’s best scientific and non-literature to its students. Abdul Waris, Nazim, South Zone, IJT, Saad Zahid, In-charge of the Colleges’ Committee and Hassan Habib, Nazim, IJT, Delhi College, were also present on the occasion.

Furthermore, the Islami Jamiat Talaba set up an admission camp on the college premises to guide aspiring students about the admission processes and procedures in the college and to help newcomers choose the appropriate academic discipline as per their aptitude and area of interest. Setting up of admission camps is a part of the IJT’s annual programme, which aims at providing sufficient guidance to those students who have passed their matriculation examination and are now willing to get admission in their favourite colleges.
