Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, visited the Pakistan Business Council Forum to discuss measures for promoting maritime trade. During the meeting, he emphasized the crucial role that ports play in economic development, stating, “Ports are vital for our economy.” He assured the business community that their grievances would be addressed promptly.
Chaudhry emphasised the importance of public-private partnerships in promoting trade and pledged to provide the necessary facilities for the business community. He expressed willingness to cooperate with the Pakistan Business Council on suggestions related to maritime affairs.
The Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to modernising the port sector and mentioned his discussions with the Chief Minister of Sindh to address the challenges faced by the business community. The Pakistan Business Council welcomed the initiatives put forth by the Federal Minister.
