Mobilink Bank and Yango Pakistan have partnered to offer Shariah-compliant financing and embedded insurance to eligible Yango drivers and couriers. This collaboration aims to enhance financial inclusion by providing tailored financial solutions that support drivers’ livelihoods.
The partnership recognizes vehicles as essential assets for ride-hailing drivers and combines financing with digital banking and payment services. Financing options include Car Diminishing Musharakah up to PKR 5 million and Murabaha financing for motorcycles, e-bikes, rickshaws, and handsets. Eligible customers will receive complimentary Takaful coverage during the financing period, which includes income protection, hospitalization, maternity benefits for women borrowers, and accidental death or disability coverage.
Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary, President & CEO of Mobilink Bank, highlighted the importance of providing financial services to the gig economy. Miral Sharif, Country Head for Yango Pakistan, emphasized that access to financing and protection directly impacts drivers’ earning potential.
Eligible Yango drivers will also benefit from Mobilink Bank’s digital banking ecosystem, including account onboarding, Business Plus Account features, Raast QR payments, and connectivity benefits.
