Mobilink Bank and JazzCash have launched the Chaklala Scheme-III Cashless Bazaar in Rawalpindi, featuring 900 shops and carts, to support the Prime Minister’s vision of a cashless economy. The initiative was inaugurated by Brigadier Syed Ali Anjum and attended by key figures from the State Bank of Pakistan and both banks.
The bazaar will use Raast-enabled QR codes for secure mobile payments, enhancing convenience for merchants and shoppers. Mobilink Bank will also provide Business Plus accounts for retailers and various financial solutions.
President & CEO Haaris M. Chaudhary stated that the initiative aims to integrate small merchants into a secure financial system. JazzCash CEO Murtaza Ali highlighted the importance of digitizing high-frequency commerce in bazaars for a cashless future. This initiative represents a significant step toward digital financial inclusion in Pakistan.
