Maritime Minister awards cash prizes to outstanding female students at KPT Head Office

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, presided over a ceremony at the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) Head Office to honour 22 female students who achieved A-1 grades in their matriculation board examinations. Each student received a cash award of Rs. 25,000 in recognition of their exceptional academic performance.

This event marked a significant milestone, as it was the first time that all awardees were female students who had attained top grades. The Minister also acknowledged the pivotal role of educators by presenting cash prizes to the teachers who guided these students to success.

In his address, Minister Junaid Anwar Chaudhry emphasized the importance of youth in shaping the nation’s future, stating, “Our youth are our most valuable asset. They are the leaders of tomorrow in every sphere of life.”

The ceremony also included the distribution of certificates to female students who completed computer training at the KPT Industrial Home Computer Centre in Keamari. The Minister lauded KPT’s initiative to establish this center, highlighting its role in equipping women with essential digital skills for the job market.

Addressing the media, Minister Chaudhry commended the media’s role in community development and in countering misinformation, particularly in the face of external propaganda. He remarked on the unity of civilians, media, and armed forces in times of national challenges, describing it as a testament to Pakistan’s resilience.

The event concluded with a group photograph of the honored students alongside the Minister, capturing a moment of pride and inspiration for all attendees.
