Muhammad Ikram Rajput, President of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), welcomed the Makkah Defence Pact between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye, commending the leadership for the initiative.
He emphasized that the pact would enhance collective defense and security while also creating significant economic opportunities. Rajput noted that the agreement should promote joint defense, peace, stability, and prosperity, rather than being seen as an anti-country arrangement. He highlighted the potential for trade and investment growth due to the strategic trust among the three nations and called for a focus on economic strength alongside military capability.
He advocated removing trade barriers, streamlining customs procedures, and increasing business exchanges to enhance economic cooperation. Rajput expressed that the pact could lead to stronger economic ties and joint ventures, benefiting all involved.
