KSE-100 index turned positive today

KSE-100 index turned positive today, up 1.2% to closed at level of 44,900 amid attractive valuations and quarter closing. Banks, Cements and E&Ps were major contributors to the index, cumulatively adding 312 points. Scrip wise MEBL, KEL, PPL, OGDC and LUCK added 228 pts to the index. On the results front, CPHL announced its FY21 EPS of Rs2.36 along with a cash dividend of Rs1.5 per share and 10% bonus shares, resulting stock to closed at Rs44.92 (up 2.79%). Total traded volume of the market clocked in at 372mn shares with a value of Rs14bn
