Karachi Port Trust (KPT) said today that the de-bunkering of barge Heng Tong 77, grounded at Sea View beach in Karachi, commenced at 0600 hours. KPT’s Marine Pollution Control Department along with port authority ambulance, Port Fire Department and Port Security Force deployed around site.

KPT facilitated the de bunkering operation by providing oil spill kits, dispersants, and maintaining stringent vigilance to ensure there is no fuel spillage. The ship is carrying approximately 118 tons of bunker fuel.
