KPT celebrated 78th Independence Day with great fervour

Karachi Port Trust celebrated the 78th Independence Anniversary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan with great fervour and enthusiasm. Enriched and colourful proceedings have taken place in which students of KPT school have participated with national songs during the occasion.

The chief guest, Chairman of KPT, Rear Admiral Ateeq-ur-Rehman, Sitara e Imtiaz (Military), hoisted the national flag along with the national anthem sung during the occasion, which all the General Managers attended, all the Heads of Departments, officers, and staff employees of KPT.

The national song performance of KPT school students followed it.

The chief guest, Chairman KPT, Rear Admiral Ateeq-ur-Rehman Sitara e Imtiaz (Military), highlighted that independence is not a gift. Still, rather it is the responsibility on our shoulders as a nation to strengthen our motherland and then transfer it to the next generation. He said that we must show unity in our ranks and work diligently to enhance our national economy. Paying tributes to the armed forces during the occasion, and said that the recent success of Pakistan in Marka-e-Haq will be remembered just like the Independence Day of the nation is remembered till today.

Special prayers were offered for the nation to conclude the Independence Day proceedings at KPT.
