KATI’s condolence on the sad demise of renowned businessman Shabbir Desai

Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) President Faraz-ur- Rehman, Deputy Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya, Senior Vice President Nighat Awan, Vice President Muslim Mohamedi, Former Chairman/President of KATI, Members of Executive Committee and KATI Members, have expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Shabbir Desai, a long-time member of KATI and owner of the Desai Group.

President KATI Faraz-ur-Rehman said that while his family is saddened by the death of Shabbir Desai, KATI and the business community are also deeply shocked.

Faraz-ur-Rahman said that Shabbir Desai was a philanthropist and a thorough gentleman who had given the largest financial support to the Korangi Association in the initial days of construction of KATI’s building, especially in the renovation of the secretariat office.

On this occasion, Zubair Chhaya, deputy patron-in-Chief of KATI, expressed his grief over the death of Shabbir Desai and said that KATI had lost an active and sincere person.

He said that the services rendered by Shabbir Desai and his family for KATI are commendable. In recognition, the main hall of Korangi Association is named after his father Haji Musa Desai. His services to Korangi Association will always be remembered.

Zubair Chhaya further said that we offer our heartfelt condolences to his family and pray to Allah Almighty to forgive them and raise their ranks and grant patience to the bereaved. Ameen.
