A large Trade delegation of more than 15 companies from Vietnam visited Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) on Thursday. Senior Vice President of KATI Muhammad Ikram Rajput, Director TDAP Gulzar Firoz, Advisor to Vietnam Trade Mission Ghazanfar Ali Khan, former President of KATI Ehtisham Uddin and Vice President Syed Wajid Hussain welcomed that delegation headed by Vietnamese Commercial Counselor Nguyen Hong Tien.

On this occasion SVP KATI Ikram Rajput briefed the delegation about the scope of Korangi Industrial Area. He mentioned that while both countries have a good bilateral trade relation but there are vast fields of opportunities in Pharmaceutical, Textile, leather, Seafood and Tourism sectors to boost the volume of trade and investments. Mr. Rajput highlighted the importance of business to business relations and contact to strengthen bilateral trade and financial relations.
Vietnamese Commercial Counselor Nguyen Hong Tien said that a lot of companies, investors and tourist form his country want to explore Pakistan. He informed that in textile, seafood and pharama sector cooperation between both countries are very positive and many joint ventures can be possible in these fields.

Gulzar Firoz said that Vietnam has a great production capacity in shoemaking, but they were buying Pakistani leather from third parties, we want them to buy leather directly from us. Earlier Ghazanfar Ali Khan introduced participants of foreign delegation to local industrialist and investors. He said that this visit of Vietnamese delegation would prove a milestone for bilateral trade and financial relations between Pakistan and Vietnam. After luncheon B2B meetings were held between foreign representatives, local industrialists and investor at KATI.
