KATI welcomes 2.75 billion unconditional aid from the IMF

Korangi Association of Trade and Industry President Saleem-uz-Zaman has thanked the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for allotting 2.75 billion dollars unconditional assistance to Pakistan. He said it was a historic moment that the IMF had unconditionally allocated 650 billion US Dollars to 21 developing and economically unstable countries.

Saleem-uz-Zaman said that the aid money would improve the value of the rupee in the country, the dollar will depreciate and the export industry will stabilize. Congratulating Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen, President KATI said that the economy was improving due to his efforts.

However, proper use of this aid money is essential. He urged the government to focus on industrialization and take all possible steps to reduce the cost of production so that Pakistani exporters could take full advantage of this opportunity.
