Patron in Chief of Korangi Association of Trade & Industry (KATI) SM Muneer, President Sheikh Umer Rehan , Senior Vice President Muhammad Ikran Rajput and Vice President Syed Wajid Hussain applauded the decision of relaxation in lockdown by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

SM Muneer said that since the first day PM Khan was considering both challenges of Covid-19, health and economic as well. “Prime minister taken the measures to curb the pandemic as per the ground realities of our country” he noted. He said that if we look at our economic conditions and poverty ratio of our overall population, as a nation we cannot afford any further extension in closer of economic and industrial activities. He also urged the business community and common people to follow the precautionary measures and government SOPs to curb the infection.

President KATI Sheikh Umer Rehan was of the view that the only way out of economic crisis caused by coronavirus is to fully functional the industrial production activities in country. He said that PM was handling the situation with right approach and we must appreciate this. He said that time has come just not to allow the industry for work but also provide as much as possible facilities and relations to continue the production. He urged the PM to take measures to cut the cost of production of industry. He also said that only industry can provide employment on large scale to the people of this country , this sector should be the first priority of the government and fortunately Prime Minster has acknowledge the role of Industry. He said that acknowledgment should be reflected in upcoming national budget.
