KATI expresses gratitude for 27% increase in exports

President Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI) Salman Aslam has expressed gratitude over the increase of 27% in the country’s exports last month. He said that the export volume reached 2.41 billion US Dollars in the data released by the Ministry of Finance shows an improvement in the economy. In the first quarter of the current financial year, exports increased by 28% in which the Korangi Industrial Area played a key role.

President KATI said that exporters are competing in the international market despite rising production costs. He said that the data of the Ministry of Finance proves that our industrialists are patriots and put Pakistan first at a time when it has become impossible to fulfill the export order.

Salman Aslam said that the government should take steps to reduce the production cost for the exporters and industrial areas and provide more facilities to the exporters so that they can further promote Pakistani products in the global market.

President KATI further said that the discounted electricity tariff to the Industry by the government in winter months is a welcome step but concessions should also be given in the prices of petroleum products and gas.
