KATI demands formation of joint committee with SBCA to resolve concerns

(KATI) has demanded action against corrupt elements of Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA), involved in harassment of Industrialists and also urged Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Sindh’s minister for local bodies, to establish a joint committee of KATI and SBCA to resolve reservations of industrialists of Korangi Industrial Area (KIA).

In a statement released by KATI, President Saleem-uz-Zaman said that we always welcome any action to establish the law and writ of government but it is not acceptable that any official would harass industrialists in the name of lawn. He said that KATI never ask for any unlawful favor from government institutions and either support such effort, we always stand with the law and principle. “That is the reason KATI asked provincial minister for local bodies to form a joint committee of SBCA and KATI, which can resolve complains form the either side” he added. Saleem-uz-Zaman urged Mr. Shah and DG SBCA Ashkar Dawar to take immediate notice of KATI’s demand and notify a joint committee. He also mentioned that Industrialization is the need of time for Pakistan but if the industry would face hurdles on the initial step of construction, this target will never be achieved. President KATI said that conflicts and reservations of industrialist and department related to construction regularization need urgent attention of provincial government.
